Pre-Release: Judge Not (Matthew 7:1)

How often are we tempted to really push back against other people—and then talk about them behind their backs? How often do we put someone into a box and judge them or their actions without even knowing their reasons? We should take a much more honest look in the mirror and examine our own behavior with a critical eye.

You’re not responsible for how someone else will stand before God’s throne. But you will give an account for your own life before HIM. That’s why a small, regular, honest check-in with your own heart can do wonders. God loves shaping us. But He’s a gentleman—He won’t do it without your permission or your invitation.

The bible says in Matthew 7:1-2
“Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.”

This Bible passage became the inspiration for the new song coming out on August 28. Here’s a little preview.

holyscriptures – Judge Not (Matthew 7:1)

I walked the world with a sharpened tongue,
Fired my arrows at the old and young.
Thought I was right while the truth was wrong,
But every echo was my own war‑song.

And every measure that I gave,
Came back like waves I couldn’t brave.

Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let mercy rise where pride once surged.
Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let love break chains we all have forged.

I hid my faults in a shadowed place,
Built up my walls just to save my face.
But grace broke in with a burning light,
And showed my darkness in the open night.

For every measure that I cast,
Returns to me like storms at last.

Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let mercy rise where pride once surged.
Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let love break chains we all have forged.

For the measure that you mete,
Is the measure you will meet.
So let kindness be your weight,
And let mercy set the beat.

Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let mercy rise where pride once surged.
Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let love break chains we all have forged.

Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let mercy rise where pride once surged.
Judge not, that ye be not judged,
Let love break chains we all have forged.

Judge not… judge not…
Till love is all we choose to hold.
